Welcome

We here at Ironwood Studio would love to thank you for taking the time to stop by and see us! Not only are we students, but a community of artists. Here we have the opportunity to come together creatively and share our ideas with one another, and now with you as well. So, thank you again. Feel free to browse the blog, as it will have a little bit of all of us.

Summer Carnival

Steve has over 20 years experience as a graphic designer, but originally was a sculptor. This happy kid in the carnival ride reminds him of his youth.

He is part of a professional handmade tile group that has won contracts for municipalities. Check it out -  www.5onTile.com

Those amazing animals

bisqued roosters

Lions and tigers and chickens? Oh my! And yes even roosters, cows, dogs and giraffes. All things animal are the creations of Jan Johnson. Whether it's sculpting or painting them - she's a whiz.

What are they working on?

Clay is working on his latest intricate wall art piece, Thelma's throwing oversized mugs on the wheel, Holly is using a sgraffito technique on a plate, another student hand sculpted and hollowed out this adorable little puppy with a toy in it's mouth, and Toni is setting up her whimsical porcelain house sculpture for a photo shoot.
